There are many temples in Kyoto that grab the viewers' heart with their size, such as Higashi Honganji and Kiyomizudera, however there is a temple that attracts people with its vivid landscape and not only its scale.
We would like to introduce one of the temples that boasts its beautiful landscape that one will never tire of.

Toji-in temple

Toji-in temple is a temple which has a long history, dating back to the Muromachi period, and is located a little away from Kinkakuji.
It is surprising to be able to see the temple as it originally was built and also to have many beautiful points to see.

Toji-ij temple, garden

The most beautiful point of the Toji-in is the garden which is considered one of the major beautiful gardens of Japan.
There are many trees and flowers in the garden and you can see the seasonal views from the garden.
It would be interesting to compare the different views of the garden during each season.

Toji-ij temple, different way to enjoy

Additionally, you can enjoy the temple in a different way from other temples.
For example, the temple master's painting is unforgettable once you see the powerful work.
