Want to come back again? The Cute Wild Animals in Arashiyama
DATE:2017/03/06
Arashiyama i counted as one of the most popular tourist destinations in Kyoto.
It is famous for Togetsu-kyo bridge and its bamboo forest, however bave you ever heard there is place where you can meet cute animals?
We want to introduce this special place to you.
You can see a sign and an entrance after a short walk from the Togetsu-kyo bridge - a famous landmark of Arashiyama.
(It is better to climb the mountain in sneakers.)
After 25 minutes' climbing, you will have arrived in the area where the monkeys will greet you.
There are about 120 monkeys living in the area.
You might ask "aren't the monkeys dangerous?" but don't worry - they won't attack you because the monkey keeper is watching over them.
When you give food to a hungry Japanese monkey, they eat the food with a very cute expression.
Another attraction here is the observatory looking over the city.
You can rest after your journey alongside the cute monkeys and a beautiful view ofArashiyama.
Monkeys will often sit next to you whilst you rest on the bench.
What do you think?
