Feel the power of 1200! A beautiful old temple in Kyoto
DATE:2017/03/06
There are many historic buildings in Kyoto such as Kiyomizudera and Kinkakuji.
While being repaired due to natural disasters and others, they reveal their date of construction.
This time, we would like to introduce a famous temple amongst such historical temples.
This is "Sanzenin" - east of Kyoto.
This temple has been popular for a long time as a village praying for happiness.
The temple is wrapped in silence and falls into an illusion as if time has stopped.
Shuhekien is one of the famous power spots which is so beautiful as to be known metaphorically as the "Oriental jewellery box".
There is a power spot called "Konjikisui (gold water)" in Yuseien which is located up the stairs leading from the Shuhekien.
It is said that if you wet your hands with this water, you will be blessed and so many tourists visit.
There are six Jizo statues in the temple.
As Jizo statues are either scratching their head or crawling, our heart warms to them.
Try to find all the Jizo whilst vjsiting the temple and something good may happen.
What do you think ?
"Sanzenin" has a slightly different atmosphere from the temples in the city centre of Kyoto.
Please visit "Sanzenin" where you can receive power while feeling the 1200 year old history.
