Washoku Experience! Let's learn about traditional Japanese food around Kennin-ji Temple!

Recently, Washoku(Japanese food) was approved as UNESCO's intangible cultural heritage.
What do you know about the world famous Washoku?
We will introduce you to the event held around Kennin-ji Temple in Kyoto where you can learn intangible cultural heritages.
Kennin-ji temple is located just down the Hanamikoji street. The event is held on 5th March.
The theme of the events is Japanese tea culture and food culture. There are various events held.
Kyoto has its own food culture as a taste of home-made Japanese food.
You can taste traditional Japanese dishes, such as Sake-lees Soup and boiled radish.
Note: the event starts at 10 am and ends when all food is sold out. All food costs just 300 yen.
After you taste Japanese food, you can learn about the route of Japanese food culture. There will be a talk by a professional, which is divided into the three segments 'Food', 'Tea' and 'Equipment'. He will introduce the Eisai monk who was the patriarch of Japanese tea.
You can learn a lot from Kyoto as it is the city that retains its strong Japanese traditional food culture.
It is nice to understand Japanese food culture if you like it.
There is also a booth where you can taste various rare foods from Kyoto under the name of "Another Kyoto."
Kyoto seafood is served as hotpots of
adult yellow-tail and oysters.
You can also taste hotpots of tree peony in "Kyoto forests."
Give it try with tea of Kyoto Otokuni and bamboo.
